FAQs

How do I place an order?

1.Select to buy either our Gold or Platinum Package.
2.Go to the checkout and pay securely with Credit Card or PayPal.
3.Upload your mix file to us after payment via our upload form.

Which file format should I upload?

1.The uploaded mix file should be a stereo audio file in WAV or AIFF file format, or a high quality MP3 if that's all you have.
2.The audio file should be at the bit depth and sample rate of your mix bounce, for example 24-bit 44.1kHz.

I’m having problems uploading my mix file
If for any reason you’re having problems uploading your mix file then you can send it via a third party upload service (e.g. wetransfer.com) to info@themixconsultancy.com. Please feel free to contact us via email if you have any further queries.

How long will it take to get mix feedback?
Once we’ve received your mix we’ll get back to you and confirm receipt and when to expect feedback. We aim to be fast, so although we always say to allow 2 working days to get back to you with the first round of feedback on a mix, it's often much quicker than that.

What will the mix feedback consist of?
You will receive an email with a PDF attached that contains all of our advice and recommendations. The actual content varies greatly as it's obviously very specific to the track that you've uploaded. It could be advice on EQ and compression, use of effects and balancing, or production tips that we think are relevant to the track. Or a combination of all of them!

What if my mix doesn't sound better?
Just let us know and we'll refund you in full. We're very confident that we can help you get a better mix. If you aren't happy then send us your new mix with all the changes we've discussed. We'll check that we've explained ourselves correctly, and if you're still not happy then you'll get your money back. No sweat.
